Racks In The Middle
  1. Racks In The Middle

When GRAMMY® Award-winning producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, entrepreneur, DJ, philanthropist and film producer Dallas Austin collides with superstar producer, writer, businessman and international touring EDM DJ, Cory Enemy…expect fireworks!

A 2019 inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and recipient of the NBAF’s Trailblazer in the Arts Award, Dallas Austin has over 50 Billboard Hot 100 smashes and 17 Top Tens to his credit and a multitude of awards.

“At an early age, somebody told me ‘a song is the recording of the event that just happened to you’,” he explains. “That’s why they called it ‘a record.’ This idea always resonated with me from the beginning. Great songs really come from the standpoint of truth.”

From “Unpretty” and “Cool” to “Motownphilly” and “FourFiveSeconds,” he went on to craft era-defining hits for the likes of Another Bad Creation, Boyz II Men, TLC, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, and most recently Cedric Gervais, Kodie Shane, Klondie Blonde, and many others in addition to collaborations with Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Lionel Ritchie, Nathalie Cole and Sia.

Dallas has also left an indelible imprint on the world of film. He produced a pair of successful features based on his own experiences growing up in eighties Georgia—the 2002 Drumline and 2006 ATL. Total gross for both was $100 million-plus worldwide and Dallas made history in the process. While paying homage to Atlanta culture “in a way audiences hadn’t seen yet,” he encouraged the passing of a Georgia tax incentive for production in the “Peach State.” He spoke on behalf of the State at the 2001 White House Summit and appeared at the ribbon cutting once the bill passed. The State’s economy would dramatically benefit as the site of various films, resulting in gross receipts in the billions and counting.

Dallas also emerged as an in-demand DJ along the way. He regularly performs gigs around the globe, touching down in Ibiza, Tokyo, Mykonos, London, Nice, Montenegro, St. Tropez, and beyond and spinning fierce sets at events for the Super Bowl, Victoria’s Secret and more.

“DJ-ing keeps me in tune with where music is going and gives me a chance to enjoy other people’s records for a change,” he goes on. “It’s a great way to tap into a fresh energy and remain current, which is why I love it.”

Dallas signed Cory to Rowdy as a producer some years ago and the pair have since produced for the likes of Carly Rae Jepson, Will.I.Am and Far East Movement together.

With such joint flair it was inevitable that their combined talent would grow and develop. Behind the scenes Dallas and Cory have been hard at work, biding their time and preparing to launch their ground-breaking DJ and production act…the time is now!

The project will feature the highest quality productions as well as vocals and toplines from some of music’s hottest names. Expect an expert blend of dance, pop and urban inspired electronic music that’s just as at home on club and festival dancefloors as it is on the radio.
